Bakery Assistant (Part-Time, Expanding to Full-Time) – Bluebird Bread Co. | Bulverde, TX

No professional bakery experience required, but you should be comfortable working with your hands, following recipes, and keeping up in a fast-paced environment

Just a Bit of What You’ll Be Doing:
This position will encompass a little bit of everything, and you’ll need to be able to frequently roll with changes and new responsibilities. Here’s a bit of what you can expect to do on a day-to-day basis
Bakery Tasks:
🍞 Measuring and prepping ingredients for baking
🥐 Baking pastries and assisting with bread production
📦 Labeling and packaging products
🔄 Restocking ingredients and supplies
🧼 Washing dishes
🫧 Keeping the bakery clean to maintain meticulous quality and cleanliness standards
📢 Taking and fulfilling customer orders
👥 Interacting with customers with warmth and professionalism
🚪Perform daily opening and closing duties
Business Support Tasks:
📞 Calling vendors and placing ingredient/supply orders
🤳Responding to customer questions on social media, email, and phone
📊 Recording systems and creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
📅 Helping keep a busy business owner on track and organized
Pay, Perks & Growth Opportunities:
💰 Starting pay: $15/hour

📈 Growth: For the right person, this role could expand to include more responsibilities, leadership opportunities, and additional hours.
Hours & Requirements:

Starting Now: 10 hours/week (Wednesdays & Thursdays, 9 AM – 2 PM)

Expanding April/May: ~34 hours/week (Weds-Sat, 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM)

Saturdays are a must—it’s our busiest day!

Available for occasional evening shifts (2-3 per month)

Comfortable using technology and figuring out new processes on your own
Paid Trial Period:
There will be a paid trial period of 2-4 shifts to ensure it’s a great fit for both of us. During this time, I’ll be looking for reliability, a strong work ethic, and how well you pick up the role.
