Welcome! Here are answers to some of the most common questions about ordering, pick-up, products, and our bakery policies. If you still need help, reach out and we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed through our online shop during the ordering window. If the online shop is closed, come back Sunday afternoon for the next week's menu! Click here for the online ordering site!
When do orders open and close?
The preorder menu opens at 3:30 PM on Sundays and closes at 4 PM on Tuesdays for Thursday pick ups and at 4 PM on Wednesdays for Friday and Saturday pick ups.
Do you accept same-day orders?
We cannot accomodate same-day orders, but you're welcome to stop in to see what's available. You can also text 830-228-0308 to inquire about available products.
Do you offer walk-in items too?
Yes - we often have bakery items available for walk-in purchase. Selection can vary and some items may sell out quickly. For the best walk-in selection, we recommend coming earlier in the day.
Pick-Up
Where do I pick up my order?
Pick up orders at our bakery at 25191 Hwy 46 W, Spring Branch, TX 78070. All order pick-up details will be shared at checkout and in your confirmation email.
What happens if I miss pick-up?
Because our products are fresh and made to order, we ask that orders be picked up during the scheduled pick-up window. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out as soon as you can by sending a text to 830-228-0308.
Unclaimed orders are considered forfeited and will be donated to a local organization at the discretion of Bluebird Bread Co.
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes - just make sure they have the order name and any needed pick-up details.
Products
What kinds of products do you offer?
We offer naturally leavened sourdough breads and other small-batch baked goods. Availability will change based on the season, our menu rotation, and production capacity.
Do you offer gluten-free products?
We do not offer gluten-free products. All of our products are made with wheat flour, and we have too much potential for cross-contamination to offer gluten-free options.
Are your products made with commercial yeast?
Our sourdough breads are naturally leavened with sourdough starter. We do not currently utilize commercial yeast in any of our products, but some baked goods such as cookies and muffins are leavened with baking powder and baking soda. All baked goods, including those such as cookies and muffins, undergo a minimum of a 12 hour cold fermentation period.
Do you use organic ingredients?
We use 100% organic flour. Whenever possible, we aim to use organic or locally sourced ingredients, and we always seek to to choose the highest quality options available. Specific ingredients will vary by item.
Custom Orders
Do you accept custom orders?
We do not have the capacity custom orders at this time. Keeping a focused menu allows us to serve customers well and maintain consistency. If you need a large quantity of a product that's on our menu, please reach out to inquire.
Will you ever bring back a flavor or item I loved?
Possibly! We love hearing what customers enjoy, and requests often help shape future menu rotations.
Allergens + Ingredients
Do your products contain allergens?
Many of our products contain common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, and nuts. While we attempt to minimize cross-contamination, all of our items are made in a small commercial kitchen where allergens may be present.
Can you guarantee that an item is allergen-free?
No - we are not an allergen-free kitchen, so we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact.
Can I see the ingredient list before ordering?
For many items, ingredient information is available on the product listing. If you have a specific question, feel free to reach out before ordering.
Bakery Policies
Do you offer refunds?
Because our products are perishable and made in small batches, refunds are generally not offered once an order has been placed. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us and we’ll make it right when appropriate.
What if there is an issue with my order?
We want you to have a great experience. If something seems off, please contact us promptly with your name, order details, and a photo if helpful.
Do you ship?
At this time, we do not offer shipping.
